Dr. Samantha Mammen - Medical Director

Dr. Michelle Brognano

Dr. Michelle Brognano has been with the Monmouth County SPCA since 2021. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 which included her clinical year at Auburn University. While in veterinary school, Dr. Brognano was fortunate enough to spend some time in South Africa completing a wildlife medicine course. She started her career with an emergency medicine focused internship followed by an association veterinarian position at Greater Staten Island Veterinary Specialist before switching to general practice/shelter medicine. Dr. Brognano still thoroughly enjoys emergency cases but also has a special interest in dentistry and ophthalmology.
Outside of work, Dr. Brognano enjoys spending time with her family, especially her son, Russell. She loves hosting and serving her loved ones fresh baked goods, flowers and food from her garden. On the weekends in the summer you’ll find her paddleboarding or biking.
Dr. Brognano is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and strives to build strong, lasting relationships with both her clients and their pets. She believes in treating every animal with the same love and respect she would offer her own, ensuring they receive the best possible care throughout their lives.
