Open Daily for Walk In Adoptions

Little Sara has it all going on-the looks, the personality, the snuggles! She is sweet, snuggly, playful and lovable. Sara’s approximate birthdate is 3-22-24.

Sara was found as an itty-bitty stray kitten in Aberdeen. The nice lady who found Sara brought her to the shelter so she could find a forever home.

All MCSPCA kitties are tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) before they are put up for adoption. The test detects whether or not a cat has been exposed to FeLV. Sara’s test was positive, indicating that Sara had been exposed to the virus.

Whenever we get a positive test for FeLV, we perform a second test that determines whether the cat has been infected with the virus. Sara had a negative result for this test, indicating that she has not been infected with FeLV.

What these tests tell us together is that Sara was exposed to FeLV but could fight it off! Sara should be retested in 3-6 months to confirm she remains negative. Out of an abundance of caution, Sara should not go home to any other kitties at this time.

Sara is a delightful little lady who would love make your home her forever home and  snuggle, play and cuddle with you every day.

How to Adopt a Pet

Can't adopt? Join our Sponsor a Pet Program!

Adoption Hours:

Monday 12-5pm

Tuesday 12-5pm

Wednesday 12-7pm

Thursday 12-7pm

Friday 12-7pm

Saturday/Sunday 12-5pm

We only do adoptions in person (please bring all family members).

We will ask you to fill out an Adoption Survey and speak with an Adoption Counselor to help find your perfect match!

We are open to the public for walk-ins!

You can save time and fill out a survey online, they are also available at the shelter. Completing a survey does not secure any animal for adoption. You do not need to submit a survey to visit, nor do you need to receive a response to a survey to visit. The survey is NOT an application that needs approval.

Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment, so finding the right match is very important.

Finding the perfect pet takes time. The process usually takes at least an hour, so please plan accordingly. All adoption paperwork must be submitted to the front desk one hour before closing.

Adopters are encouraged to bring their own carrier or leash and collar.
