Hi, I am Rocky, and I am about 1 1/2 years old now. I look like a Terrier mix, which means I am very handsome. I came from a less-than-ideal background – I was found, abandoned, in a crate in the woods! I can be shy at first, but I am sweet, for sure! I give lots of kisses and love to cuddle. I’m the very best spooner in bed!

I love other dogs and I would like a family with at least one other dog so they can show me the ropes and teach  me to become more confident. My new canine companion will need to love to play, since I love to play, and I have lots and lots of energy! I especially seem to love female dogs; perhaps it’s just that I’ve made such good friends who are girl dogs?

I am in a foster home since I was not very happy at the shelter. I really like all the special attention I get there. I love my foster doggie siblings, and I can’t wait to meet my forever ones!  I’m really looking forward to getting a home of my own soon! Come meet me so I can give you my paw! I know lots of commands, and I am housetrained.  What more could you ask for?

I recently went on a weekend vacation and I did really great there.  I made lots of new friends, human and canine, young and old.  I was a very good boy and everyone loved me!

Here is some video from my weekend getaway:

Here I am enjoying some petting!

I LOVE to play with other dogs, even when the girls knock me all around!

Look at how good I am taking treats in a crowd:

Here’s a new video of me, on a recent play date:

Yes, you would need to make sure that he was at the shelter, since he’s in a foster home. I suggest calling the adoption center to speak with one of the Adoption Counselors about him and whether he’d be a good match for you. And if so, they will arrange to have him at the shelter when you come. All the best!

I have a young blue tick coonhound (less than a year old) and he loves to play with other family members dogs which makes me want to get him a friend. If rocky is still available could I please get some more information on him?
