Humane Hero Academy

In the Humane Hero Academy at the Monmouth County SPCA students discover the inner workings of our shelter and cultivate skills to become passionate animal advocates. Through Scout nights or school visits, participants engage in hands-on learning experiences, fostering empathy and responsibility towards animals while gaining practical knowledge about animal welfare. Become a champion for our furry friends and make a difference in their lives today!

FAQ

Will there be a Pet Therapy Dog at Scout Night or my school visit?

Subject to availability of our pet therapy teams.

Can I sign up for more than one visit?

Right now, we ask that you only sign up for a single visit. Our curriculum is in the process of being revamped, so we currently only have one lesson to share. Our goal is to share it with as many students as we can to expand the reach of the Humane Heroes across Monmouth County.

What if we cannot pay the fee?

We would still love to share the Humane Hero Academy with you! Please email [email protected].

Host a Community Fundraiser

If you can’t make a scout night or you don’t have time to fit in a visit in the classroom, you can still get your kiddos involved! Host a Community Fundraiser to help the animals at the shelter.
