Open Daily for Walk In Adoptions

We hope that everyone is faring well in the midst of everything going on regarding COVID-19. The Monmouth County SPCA will remain open to serve our surrounding communities but will be taking precautionary measures so that everyone, including our hard-working staff, stays safe. Our staff has been constantly disinfecting all surfaces and there is readily available hand-sanitizer throughout the building.

Our Vogel Veterinary Care Center will remain open for appointments. Clients can either call 732-542-3125 when they arrive or check-in with our front desk and return to their cars to wait until their exam room is ready. This is an easy way to reduce the number of people in our waiting area.

Adoptions will remain functional and we will be limiting the number of patrons permitted onto our public adoption floor. Once people exit the adoption floor, new ones will be permitted in – this is to reduce the number of people in one area at any given time. We also ask that you:
Call our adoption center at 732-542-5962 prior to coming in to see if we have the type of pet you are looking for
Print and fill out our adoption survey (bit.ly/2TYNa8j) at home to cut down on waiting times
We love it when our fellow animal lovers stop in to visit our shelter pets and browse our adoption floor! We want you to know that we wholeheartedly appreciate your support, but we ask that you only stop in if you’re ready to adopt a new friend 😊

We are not currently looking for immediate or emergency foster homes but you’re welcome to email [email protected] to see if you’re a good fit for the program. Please include who lives in your home (people and pets) the type of lifestyle you have and what kind of animals you’re interested in fostering. Our most desired foster home would be one without other pets or young children.
