Just look at that Pittie Pout!
Chocolate Chip is a 1-year-old, 50 pound Pitbull Mix who hasn’t had the best start to life. Found hit by a car with a fracture to her back leg, CC received immediate medical attention and was quickly placed in a loving foster home to aid in her recovery. We’re proud to report that our delicious pup has been THRIVING and is now ready for her forever home! Described as crate and house trained, CC is a curious and smart cookie who loves her treats and her people. A cuddle bug who doesn’t know what personal space is, she’ll wiggle her way into your lap or lounge on top of her doggy pals. An outdoorsy lady, you can either find her lounging in the sun or following her nose on walks. Still learning how to be a dog, this young girl is working on leash manners and gets amped up when excited using her mouth in a puppy-like way. Positive reinforcement training would help CC as she grows. Will you be the milk to her cookies? This a-dough-able lady is ready to meet you!

How to Adopt a Pet
Can't adopt? Join our Sponsor a Pet Program!
Adoption Hours:
Monday 12-5pm
Tuesday 12-5pm
Wednesday 12-7pm
Thursday 12-7pm
Friday 12-7pm
Saturday/Sunday 12-5pm
We only do adoptions in person (please bring all family members).
We will ask you to fill out an Adoption Survey and speak with an Adoption Counselor to help find your perfect match!
You can save time and fill out a survey online, they are also available at the shelter. Completing a survey does not secure any animal for adoption. You do not need to submit a survey to visit, nor do you need to receive a response to a survey to visit. The survey is NOT an application that needs approval.
Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment, so finding the right match is very important.
Finding the perfect pet takes time. The process usually takes at least an hour, so please plan accordingly. All adoption paperwork must be submitted to the front desk one hour before closing.
Adopters are encouraged to bring their own carrier or leash and collar.
