Chin Chin will win win your heart! I am 2 years old and came to the MCSPCA after being left behind in my last home. Won’t you give me a second chance at love?

If you have a lot of love and patience to give, I’m the purrfect cat for you. I’ve been looking for a special someone who will look past my shyness and see the sweet boy within. After spending some time getting comfortable with you, I love being petted (especially under my chin – get it?), and I’m a big fan of squeeze-up treats! I’m definitely not a fan of busy environments though, so no kids please!

I have lived with another cat before, so with a slow introduction, I might do well with another calm and confident kitty. Keep your chin up – our life together is sure to be a dream!

Things to Know

We only do adoptions in person
Please bring equipment needed for your new pet
You will fill out a survey and meet with a counselor
Most adoptions take an hour or so to complete
Adoption process must begin 1-hour before closing

We are open to the public for walk-ins! If you are interested in adopting a dog, please be aware that our adoption floor is not open to walk through as we have found stress-levels, fear and anxiety of our dogs have decreased by limiting foot traffic. This results in a calmer living environment and a huge reduction of stress related behaviors. We have found that happier, less stressed dogs, ultimately lead to more successful adoptions too! Anyone who visits our shelter can view photos, bios, and videos of our available dogs and speak with an adoption counselor to meet any dog in one of our “meet and greet” rooms or our fenced in park. The cat floor is open to walk through.

You can save time and fill out a survey online, they are also available at the shelter. Completing a survey does not secure any animal for adoption. You do not need to submit a survey to visit, nor do you need to receive a response to a survey to visit (unless specifically noted on a post or bio). The survey is NOT an application that needs approval.

Dogs

Dogs 7 years and older: $125
Dogs over 6 months: $275
Puppies under 6 months: $600 (there is an additional $75 fee for Puppy 101 behavior class with a $50 reimbursement for optional continued training following Puppy 101)

Cat Adoption Fees

Cats 7 years and older: $75
Cats over 6 months: $175
Kittens under 6 months: $250

Mice, Hamsters, Rats $15
Guinea Pigs $30
Rabbits, Chinchillas, Ferrets $100

Payment

We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

We cannot accept checks for adoption fees.
