Cheeks McGee

ByNina | In Adoptable Cats, FIV+

Come on over and cheek me out! I am quite the handsome fella, if I don’t say so myself. I was transferred from another shelter and I am very lucky I came here because most shelters are likelier to euthanize an FIV+ cat. We are more prone to sickness when exposed to germs. Like with children at school, illnesses such as head colds can circulate easily in a shelter with so many felines hanging around. With limited resources to care for so many animals (sick or otherwise), they have no choice but to euthanize the sickest ones, and FIV+ kitties are always at the top of the list.

Luckily for me, the MCSPCA does NOT euthanize FIV+ kitties, so I got to make the trip and find the purrfect family! I am a sweet and gentle boy who loves being petted. I will enjoy lots of love, play, and rest in your home as your loyal and very friendly companion. I am about 7 years young.

I can’t tell you if I’ve been around other cats before, but I could try living with another kind, gentle boy, or I could be your one and only. Ready when you are!
