Briar

ByNina | In Adoptable Cats, FIV+

Do you need a gentle boy to make your home a happier place? I would like to help! I came to the MCSPCA from Humane Society in Tinton Falls. Sadly, many shelters euthanize FIV+ cats because they are likelier to get sick when exposed to germs. Like with children at school, illnesses such as head colds can circulate easily in a shelter with so many felines hanging around. Since many shelters have limited resources to care for so many animals (sick or otherwise), they have no choice but to euthanize the sickest ones. Unfortunately, FIV+ kitties are always at the top of the list.

Luckily for me, the MCSPCA does NOT euthanize FIV+ kitties! They offered to take me in and find me a home. Isn’t that great? I am still coming out of my shell a little, but if you are quiet and gentle with me, you’ll soon see how sweet I am. I know the day is coming when I’ll have a warm, quiet, and cozy home just for me.

I can’t tell you if I’ve lived with other cats before, but I could try living with another very mellow and friendly kitty like me. I wouldn’t have any problems being your only kitty either. I am 3 years young. Will you take me home?
