Boyzenberry

ByNina | In Adoptable Cats

Who doesn’t love a handsome older gentleman? Especially when it’s a really sweet and cuddly one-am I right?! Hey, you just described me!!!! I’m a friendly and affectionate 10-year young boy who was found as a stray. A Good Samaritan found me hiding under her patio during a torrential downpour. She was kind enough to bring me to the shelter so I could be dry, safe and cared for.

Shortly after arriving at the shelter, the medical staff discovered that I have Hyperthyroidism. That just means that I have an overactive thyroid and they started me on medication to regulate it. I take my meds in food like a champ! The meds are cheap and easy to give so as far as a cat with “issues” goes, I’m easy-peasy!!! If you adopt me, the shelter staff will give you some meds to get me started at home.

I have never lived with other pets but I would certainly be willing to give it a try! I’ve been around other cats here at the shelter and I’m not thrilled when they try to interact with me but as long as they let me do my own thing, I seem to be fine.

I think I could coexist alright with a kitty friend like me. I could certainly more than coexist with YOU-please take me home with you!!!

Right now, the Monmouth County SPCA is purrticipating in an amazing program called Cat Pawsitive.
Cat Pawsitive is presented by The Jackson Galaxy Foundation (you might know Jackson Galaxy from his Animal Planet show, “My Cat From Hell”). The program is designed to teach shelter cats fun tricks to both help them stand out to potential adopters while providing enrichment during their stay at the shelter.
Right now, I’m working on “sit” and “nose boop.” I can’t wait to learn more with you!!
