My story: If you wanted to adopt a mushy lap cat, you should pick me!! I came to the MCSPCA with my kitty housemate because our owner could no longer care for us. She moved into an assisted living facility, so her friend brought us to the shelter to find a new home. We know our owner had no other choice-she loved us very much. Moo Moo, my kitty friend, has been adopted and now it’s my turn!
I am about 9 years young. I’m a real loverboy. I’m a big fan of being snuggled, cuddled, kissed, petted and hugged. I would also be a big fan of sleeping on your feet at night or taking a cat nap with you on the couch. (See what I did there-I have a sense of humor too)!
I am diabetic but it’s fairly easy to maintain-the medical staff can give you more details and show you what to do! I am FIV+ too, which means that my immune system can be weaker than the average cat. This isn’t a problem as long as I am kept inside and up-to-date on vet visits and vaccinations. FIV+ kitties typically run into problems when they are left outdoors to fend for themselves. It is transmitted only through reproduction and bite wounds. FIV+ and FIV- cats can live just fine together, provided there aren’t any drag-out fights! I’m already living amongst FIV- kitties and would be happy to live with more!
I think all the cats in the shelter are pretty great but I’m hoping that out of all of them, you’ll pick me!!!! Will you?
