ByNina | In Adoptable Cats, FIV+

To answer the question that’s on your mind, I’m right here! Don’t you just love my big cheeks and want to give them a little squeeze? I was found as a friendly stray cat in Neptune Township. Now I’m ready to find a purrmanent place to call home! I’m a handsome 4-year young teddy bear boy.

I was a little shy at first, but as you can see, I feel much better thanks to all the staff members and volunteers who hung out with me. I love meeting new people and being petted! I am looking for a home to get lots of affection, play, and some extra cozy spots to relax in.

I haven’t lived with other cats before, but I would probably be fine having a feline brother or sister at home, and I would do just as well as your one and only handsome boy too! Ready to bring me home?

I am FIV+, which means that my immune system can be weaker than the average cat. This isn’t a problem as long as I am kept inside and up-to-date on vet visits and vaccinations. FIV+ kitties typically run into problems when they are left outdoors to fend for themselves. Lucky for me, I am done with my outdoor days!!!! FIV is only transmitted from cat-to-cat through reproduction and bite wounds. My FIV+ status doesn’t bother me one bit and I hope you don’t care either! I know you’ll love having me around for sure!!!

Right now, the Monmouth County SPCA is purrticipating in an amazing program called Cat Pawsitive.
Cat Pawsitive is presented by The Jackson Galaxy Foundation (you might know Jackson Galaxy from his Animal Planet show, “My Cat From Hell”). The program is designed to teach shelter cats fun tricks to both help them stand out to potential adopters while providing enrichment during their stay at the shelter.
Right now, I’m working on “sit,” “high five,” “up,” and “nose boop.” I can’t wait to learn more with you!!
