Dog Training

The MCSPCA offers positive, rewards-based training to help your dog become a good family companion.

We can help build a positive relationship with your dog, teach you how to communicate what you need – and you will be helping support shelter animals at the same time!

Puppy Kindergarten (under 4 months)

Wednesday, February 22: 5:30PM
Monday, March 5: 5:30PM
Wednesday, April 4: 5:30PM

Each session includes 6 classes, 1 hour each, $120 (discount for adopted pets), held in the Community Room.

Training is important for all puppies under 4 moths of age.  Kindergarten will help give you and your pup a good foundation to work with. Besides socializing your puppy, you will learn basic commands and ways to address jumping, mouthing and housebreaking.

Basic Dog Obedience (over 4 months)

Basic Obedience will teach you basic commands and offer  solutions to issues you might be having at home.

Agility

Currently accepting drop-ins for Advanced Agility, Tuesdays at 4PM for $20 per class.

$120 for a 6 week session
Instructor: Gina Ryan

Each class is limited to 6 dogs & handlers
Beginner is for people interested in Agility and have never taken a class.

Handlers and dogs will be introduced to the fun and thrill of agility. You and your dog will strengthen your relationship by learning  foundation skills for the sport of agility. This class is designed to exercise both canine brain and body and  introduce basic obstacle familiarization.
