DOG OBEDIENCE TRAINING

We know you love your dog.  But, an untrained dog can be no fun. Does Fido jump on you? Drag you down the street when you try to walk him??? Dog obedience training can make a world of difference in your pet. Just six short classes can transform your unruly beast into a well-behaved pet who knows how to sit, heel and stay.

VOGEL-SPCA SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC

The Vogel- SPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic provides low cost spaying and neutering for your pets.
We can offer this high quality care for your pet because our staff specializes in spay/neuter surgery. If any aspects of your pet's health would increase surgical risks, you will be consulted.  After your pet awakens from surgery, he will spend time recovering while sleeping under a warm blanket.

Spaying and neutering your pet has significant health benefits and will help reduce the terrible overpopulation of pets that results in so many homeless animals in the shelter. Read why spaying and neutering is so important HERE.

Please spay and neuter your pets! For current pricing and appointments call 732-542-3125

Call for information on our special feral cat pricing programs. The Monmouth County SPCA participates in New Jersey Department of Health Public Assistance Spay/Neuter Programs.

We also hold a Vaccine Clinic every Friday 10:30-2:00 PM, no appointment needed. Cats & Dogs only please!

As of 2002, we have started microchipping our dogs and cats prior to adoption. You can bring your pet to our clinic to be microchipped for a small fee! Microchipping involves placing a very small chip under your pet's skin. This chip contains your information, and this information is placed in the AKC database. If your pet is lost, a special scanner can be used to 'read' your pet's chip and find out who he belongs to, so you can be notified. It is an excellent way to make sure pet and owner can be re-united!

HUMANE EDUCATION

Welcome to the Monmouth County SPCA Humane Education Section! As Humane Education Coordinator for the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown, I would like to acquaint you with the services and resources we are able to provide to the teachers and civic leaders in Monmouth County. Our newly revised Humane Education programs offer various curriculum- blended programs. Each program adheres to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and are age specific. Two programs have been created for each of the following levels: Primary, Elementary, and Middle School, with various follow up and service learning activities included. High School level programs are specifically customized to correspond with each particular teaching unit.

In partnering with your school or group, the Monmouth County SPCA strives to offer “Higher Level Learning” to your students. Many of the programs and projects include problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, and creative thinking. Our instructor can provide frequent and immediate feedback to students to improve the quality of their learning.

Other benefits of this program may be non-content goals, such as becoming a good team member by working collaboratively with one another on specific projects, preparing a joint report, learning to tolerate opposing points of view, and becoming proficient in public speaking.

At the MCSPCA we believe that your students have the ability to set standards for future generations. We look forward to helping them learn about the issues affecting animals today and how they can use their voice to make a difference. If you are interested in learning more about our Humane Education programs, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you.
