Millie

ByNina | In Adoptable Cats

Sooooooooooooo sweet!!!!! Sooooooooo loving!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Major mushball and lap cat!!!!!!!! And that’s all despite being dumped in front of the MCSPCA thrift shop!! I was abandoned in a cat carrier with a note that said “please help” and a twenty dollar bill. The shelter folks scanned me for a microchip, found one and contacted the owner registered to that chip. Of course, as is often the case, they never heard back from her. Rather than having to be stuck in a cage for months because of a legal battle, the shelter folks were kind enough to just go ahead with promoting me for adoption. Although it would be nice for justice to be served for having been abandoned, the truth is animal cruelty laws are not what they are for humans. Honestly, the best thing for me is to just find a new home where I will be cherished and loved forever! I am grateful as well that my previous owner left me on the MCSPCA property rather than just tossing me outdoors.

Thanks to my microchip, the MCSPCA was able to access my previous records. I actually came from the South as a kitten. (I am now 4 years old). Whenever they have space, the MCSPCA takes in cats, dogs, puppies and kittens from overcrowded southern shelters where euthanasia rates are extremely high. Then, they find them homes! That transport was my first lifesaving event and now this is my second!!!

My favorite things include being petted, kissed and sitting on your lap. I am soooooooooo loving and affectionate. I seem to be okay with other cats and I would certainly make a wonderful family pet. And I can’t wait to give all of that love to YOU!!
