This week our Humane Law Enforcement Division brought 2 whelping moms and a total of 29 puppies of a variety of ages, some as young as 3 weeks old, to the Monmouth County SPCA. They were taken from a hoarding situation in Spring Lake Heights, where more than 50 dogs were living in a small house with a very small yard. This case is being investigated by our Humane Law Division. We anticipate additional dogs coming into our shelter soon.
The puppies are being evaluated by our veterinarians, and will not be available for adoption until Friday.
We need your help! Towels, blankets and linens, as well as puppy food and canned dog food would be welcome at the shelter any day of the week between 9am and 5pm. You can also make a gift online here.
