Daffodil is a 9-year old declawed kitty who had been with us for a few years. She was a more difficult adoption because she had to be an only cat, and she needed someone with patience who could give her time to slowly adjust. She had been adopted and returned twice (once the next morning, because the guy rolled over on her the first night and he bit her)!
Miriam (Daffodil’s adopter) understood Daffodil’s issues. She let Daffodil sleep by herself in the bathroom the first few nights, so that she wouldn’t be overwhelmed (we recommend this to all adopters but often they don’t listen and things like rolling over on the cat in the middle of the night happen)!
I checked in with Miriam today and she said Daffodil is doing great! She’s making good use of her lap, eating well, and checking out everything in the apartment. She’s very curious and seems very happy in her new home.
