Cheetah

Let me start by saying I am SOOOOOOOO excited to find my forever family!!!!!! I’ve heard stories about fluffy blankets, comfy couches and people who love you and want to spend time with you. I’m not used to that kind of home and I long to have that in my life!!! You see, I have lived a very lonely life. For the first 7 years of my life, I lived all by myself in a basement. A nice human found me as a stray kitten and he took me into his home so I wouldn’t have to live out on the street anymore. The only problem was, some of my human family members were allergic to cats, so I had to be confined to the basement. And, because they were allergic to me, no one could ever pet me or spend time with me. One day,┬ámy family’s small granddaughter moved in upstairs and, when she came downstairs and tried to pet me and pick me up, I panicked and scratched her in the process of trying to get away. That’s when my family decided it was time for me to go.

As you can imagine, I was terrified when I first came to the shelter. I wasn’t used to being touched by people and I didn’t trust them one bit. But, bit by bit, I began to realize that humans can be kind and gentle. I began to trust my new shelter friends and I started to crave being petted and cuddled. I also found out that I really like catnip, toys and other kitty cats too!!!

Now, I’m ready to find my forever family. I will definitely do best in a quiet and calm home with a family that is willing to give me time to adjust and learn to trust them. And I promise you, the bond we will form in the process will be a strong and powerful one. I have 7 years worth of love and loyalty stored up to give my forever family. So if you’re looking to be doted on, please take me home!!
