The Monmouth County SPCA is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Banfield Charitable Trust in support of our Pet Pantry program. The gift of $5,000 will help us purchase needed pet food and cat litter for the Pet Pantry and gasoline for our delivery vehicle. Thanks to this gift, we will be able to grow and enrich the program and continue to help keep people and their pets together. These days, more families than ever are struggling to put food on the table and those same families are struggling to feed their pets. We have found that so many animals were surrendered to our shelter because people couldn’t afford to feed them. Our Pet Pantry program provides a vital resource to more than 350 families and allows them to keep their beloved pets at home. We estimate that without the Pet pantry, approximately 250 animals would have been surrendered to the Monmouth County SPCA.
The Banfield Charitable Trust’s generous grant funding will help support our goal of caring for more than 1,000 families and their pets this year.
Thank you to the Banfield Charitable Trust for helping the Monmouth County SPCA to keep people and their pets together!
