Adoption
Our vision is to make New Jersey a place where every animal is treated with respect, kindness and love. Even though the animals in our care reside in state-of-the-art housing, what they really need is a loving home. Thank you so much for considering adoption!
Adopting a Pet
Please visit our new Homeward Bound Adoption Center to meet our pets. We only do adoptions in person (please bring all family members), and you must be 21 or older to adopt.
If you have pets: Bring their vet information so that we can check that all your pets are up-to-date with shots.
If you rent: Bring your lease, to show that you are allowed to have pets.
We will ask you to fill out an adoption survey and talk to an Adoption Counselor, who will help you find your perfect match. Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment, so finding the right match is very important.
Finding the perfect pet takes time. The process usually takes at least an hour, so please plan accordingly. All adoption paperwork must be submitted to the front desk one hour before closing. You can save some time by completing an Adoption Survey in advance and bringing it with you. Thank you!
Hours (open 7 days a week): Mon-Fri 1 PM – 5 PM; Sat-Sun 12 PM – 5 PM
Location: 260 Wall St., Eatontown, NJ 07724 Map
