Join us as we get ready to promote our feline upperclassmen and prepare them for graduation into their forever homes. While spending four years at a learning institution might be the norm for most students, early graduation is the preference for these kitties at the MCSPCA Homeward Bound Adoption Center. The MCSPCA will be celebrating with Graduation Specials during the months of May and June with half price adoption fees on all selected upperclassmen.
Some of these class clowns have been waiting for over two years now for their chance to walk down the aisle into a loving home. Casey, the Class Valedictorian, is a black and white domestic short hair, and has been hard at work on creating the purrfect speech for the ceremony. Shadow, a brown and white female tiger, was voted Most Likely to Succeed in a Home while Skippy, a grey tabby, the chosen Class Flirt, just seems unable to commit to only one potential adopter. Perhaps Tabitha, chosen by the class as the Most Outgoing or Willow, voted the Most Spirited would more accurately fit into your lifestyle.
While it is hard to have just one Teacher’s Pet at the MCSPCA Homeward Bound Adoption Center, Community Cat Coordinator, Francesca Alexander was finally able to settle on Saskia. “She is a four and half year old dilute calico that needs to get into a home. She has been here since March of 2010, which is just too long,” explained Ms. Alexander of her favorite. It is hard to imagine that anybody could pass up Dewey, a four year old grey and black tiger that was voted as having the Nicest Eyes by his classmates.
The MCSPCA feline graduating class of 2011 knows the struggles facing them as they get ready to join the “real world”. That is why they have all been prepared for the challenge by having been spayed or neutered and are ready to be assigned to important positions on window sills throughout Monmouth County. These “top of their class” kitties have been putting in extra time working on their socialization skills and can’t stop meowing over their upcoming commencement ceremonies.
