MCSPCA Cats are staying up late
to find their forever homes

EATONTOWN, NJ, November 4, 2010 – With over 300 cats and kittens at the Monmouth County SPCA the Adoption Team has decided it is time to take some huge steps to get cats into homes. Starting in November, on the 9th of every month, the Cat Adoption Floor will be open until 9pm. “With so many wonderful kitties waiting for homes, we hope to accommodate more adoptive families with these extended hours” said Executive Director, Laurie Garrison.
Due to the warmer weather this year, the MCSPCA has seen a record number of kittens coming into the building. Francesca Alexander, Community Cat Coordinator said, “Until the first frost, we will continue to see cats reproducing.” While the newly renovated facility is equipped to handle the large numbers, staff and resources are being stretched to their limits. Thanks to the help of volunteers and the support of the community the Adoption Center has been able to continue accept cats and kittens by appointment. “We are very excited and hopeful that these extended hours will get more cats, especially kittens, into loving homes. While our new facility is beautiful, little kittens should not grow up here. They need a couch, a bed, a family of their own” said Ms. Garrison.
If you are looking to add a feline to your family, now is the perfect time to consider adoption. The MCSPCA has a goal to save 300 more lives in these last two months! For the rest of 2010, Home 4 the Holidays Special Adoption Pricing is in effect. You have your chance at $10, $20 or $30 off your adoption fee, or even a FREE adoption!
