On October 2nd, more than 2,000 people and their pets celebrated with the Monmouth County SPCA and Corporate Partner Red Bank Veterinary Hospital on the campus of Brookdale Community College for a record-breaking afternoon! After 17 years, this year’s Dog Walk & Pet Fair was the Monmouth County SPCA’s biggest and best yet, raising almost $140,000 for the homeless animals in their care!
Animal rescue advocate and “housewife with a heart of gold” Caroline Manzo from The Real Housewives of New Jersey served as Event Chair, while long-time supporter Liz Jeressi from 94.3 The Point hosted the event. Live music by The Wag was complemented by plenty of vendors, exhibitors and bow-wow pet boutiques, doggie demos, contests, activities for kids, pet photo ops and much more! Pets available for adoption were also featured at the event during the Real Housepets of New Jersey Adorable Adoptables Parade, hosted by Caroline Manzo.
The Dog Walk & Pet Fair is the Monmouth County SPCA’s largest fundraising event of the year, and all proceeds allow them to care for thousands of abused, abandoned and homeless animals throughout Monmouth County. As a private, nonprofit organization, the MCSPCA relies heavily on special events like their Dog Walk to provide for the animals in their care, and they are constantly working to save more lives.
2010 marks Red Bank Veterinary Hospital’s seventh year as Corporate Partner for the Dog Walk & Pet Fair. RBVH provides medical care at reduced fees for all of the animals residing at the Adoption Center, and has generously contributed to the MCSPCA’s building renovation through their sponsorship of the RBVH Community Room.
