The second annual Second Chance Style event, held at Branches in West
Long Branch on April 22, raised more than $8,000.
In addition to the Nearly New Fashion Show, featuring selections from the MCSPCA Maureen O’Brien Cats & Dogs Thrift Store, the evening included artisan and vintage jewelry from Belmar Jewelers, Lia Sophia Jewelry, Jayzabeeza and Gracie’s Gems. The evening also featured a gift auction, a 50/50 raffle and a few other surprises.
“While the stunning clothes and models took everybody’s breath away, it was the three canine alumni models that stole the show,” said Lisa Mulhearn, manager of the Maureen O’Brien Cats & Dogs Thrift Store. Having Sandy Levine, host of NJN’s “Homeless Tails,” as the event’s emcee delighted the more than 200 animal-lovingfashion hounds in attendance.
